Skromia — Organizer Terms
Draft — not reviewed by an attorney.
Effective Date: July 29, 2026
Last Updated: August 18, 2026
These Organizer Terms govern your use of Skromia as a venue or event organizer. They are between you and Skromia, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Skromia," "we," "us"). You accept them when you create an organizer account or create an event.
If you also use Skromia as an attendee, the Skromia Terms of Use apply to that attendee use separately. Organizer data is governed by the Skromia Organizer Privacy Notice. Attendee data is governed by the Skromia Attendee Privacy Policy.
1. What You Are Buying
Skromia is a layer you enable at your venue or event. Attendees who choose to make themselves visible may be matched with each other and sent to public meeting points you configured. You are buying that capability for a specific event, not a license to copy, resell, or control the software.
Skromia does not guarantee that attendees will use the Service, that matches will occur, that meetings will happen, or that any particular outcome will result. The Service depends on enough attendees voluntarily becoming visible and waiting in compatible categories at the same time.
2. Accounts
You need an organizer account. You are responsible for accurate account information, credential security, authorized access, and all activity under your account.
Organizer accounts are the only account-based part of Skromia. Attendee use remains anonymous and accountless.
3. Venues and Events
A venue is the reusable physical setup: venue name, opportunity categories, public meeting-point landmarks, and walking hints.
An event is a specific activation under a venue: event name, start time, end time, timezone, expected attendee count, price tier, join code, status, and aggregate statistics.
Each event is paid for separately unless a written enterprise agreement says otherwise. A recurring meetup, conference series, or campus program can reuse one venue configuration and create new events without re-entering categories and meeting points.
4. Payment
Pricing is per event by expected attendee count, as shown at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe; Skromia does not store full card details.
If launch pricing or a promotional discount makes an event total $0, the organizer web app may skip card collection while still recording the event and discount. The paid path must remain configured and testable for future paid events.
Prices may change. A price change does not affect an event already paid for or confirmed.
5. Refunds and Cancellation
You may cancel an upcoming event and receive a full refund up to 24 hours before the scheduled event start time. Cancel from your dashboard.
No refund is available within 24 hours of the event start time, including after the event has run, unless Skromia cancels or fails to deliver the Service for reasons within our control.
Cancelling an event invalidates its join code and Quick Response (QR) code immediately.
6. Meeting Points — Your Responsibility
You choose the meeting-point landmarks. You are responsible for ensuring each one is:
Skromia sends attendees to the public landmarks you configure. Skromia does not inspect your venue and is not responsible for the safety, condition, accessibility, staffing, or operation of your premises.
7. What You Receive
You receive aggregate statistics only, such as how many attendees made themselves visible, how many joined categories, how many pairings occurred, how many meetings were confirmed, and average ratings.
You will not receive attendee identities, attendee device identifiers, individual choices, pairings, reports, blocks, individual feedback responses, or any information that would allow you to reconstruct who met whom. Where participation is too low to aggregate safely, statistics are suppressed.
This is not a limitation we can waive for you. The attendee privacy commitment controls.
8. Attendee Conduct
Attendees agree to the Skromia Terms of Use, which prohibit harassment and abusive behavior and provide blocking and reporting tools. Skromia reviews in-app reports as a Skromia safety commitment.
Skromia is not responsible for attendee conduct, and you are not responsible to Skromia for attendee conduct. Conduct on your premises remains a matter between you and the people on your premises, subject to applicable law.
9. Removing the Service or Restricting Access
You may ask us to disable Skromia at your venue or disable a specific attendee's access on your premises, and we may do so where technically and legally possible. Requesting removal of an attendee does not entitle you to information about that attendee.
10. Organizer Data
We hold organizer account details, venue and event configuration, payment records, support communications, and technical/security records as described in the Organizer Privacy Notice. We do not sell organizer data.
11. Intellectual Property
Skromia owns the Service, including the engine, recognition-phrase system, matching logic, software, design, trademarks, and logo. You may state that your event uses Skromia. You may not use our marks in a way that suggests partnership, endorsement, sponsorship, or joint venture without written permission.
We may name your organization as a venue using Skromia unless you tell us in writing not to.
12. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS." WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ATTENDEES WILL USE IT, THAT MATCHES WILL OCCUR, THAT MEETINGS WILL HAPPEN, OR THAT ANY PARTICULAR OUTCOME WILL RESULT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST BUSINESS, LOST GOODWILL, OR LOST DATA.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
13. Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold harmless Skromia, Inc. from any claim arising out of your venue or premises, your event, the meeting points you configured, your instructions to attendees, your breach of these Organizer Terms, or your violation of law.
14. Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for non-payment, breach, safety concerns, fraud concerns, or legal/compliance reasons. On termination, already paid events that have not yet run are refunded unless termination is due to your breach, fraud, or safety/legal issue.
Sections 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, and 13 survive termination.
15. General
These Organizer Terms are governed by New York law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes are brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, New York, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
If any provision is unenforceable, it is limited or severed and the rest stands. Failure to enforce is not waiver. These Organizer Terms, the Organizer Privacy Notice, and any event checkout terms are the entire agreement about organizer use unless a signed enterprise agreement says otherwise. You may not assign them; we may.
